Released for 2008—and still in its first generation—the Scion xD was designed as a replacement for the xA. Available only as a five-door hatchback, the subcompact is powered by a 1.3 liter four-cylinder engine. Standard features include 16-inch wheels, keyless entry, and power locks and windows.
The 2013 xD earned J.D. Powers' highest dependability ranking in its class, and also brought Scion Racing its first victory at the Sno*Drift event in Atlanta, Michigan. Driver Andrew Comrie-Picard attributed his win to the xD, calling it lighter, stronger, faster and easier to drive than the competition.
