Subaru Legacy Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The Legacy is available with a 170-hp naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with a 6-speed manual (or optional 6-speed CVT), or a 265-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with a 6-speed manual, or a, new for this year, 3.6-liter 6-cylinder with a 5-speed automatic. The CVT and automatic transmissions feature a manual mode with paddle levers on the steering wheel. Limited models feature leather seating, a 6-disc 440-watt 9-speaker harman/kardon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control and Bluetooth hands-free phone capability.
The following model years make up the most recent Subaru Legacy generations:
2003 - 2010 Subaru Legacy
