Suzuki Grand Vitara Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
The 2010 Grand Vitara is offered in five trims: Base, Premium, Special Edition, XSport and Luxury. The standard engine is a 166-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder available with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. An optional 230-hp 3.2-liter V6 is matched with a five-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard and Suzuki's 4-Mode, full-time 4WD system with transfer case lock and low-range is optional. Safety features include side-impact and side-curtain airbags, 4-wheel ventilated disc anti-lock brakes, and an electronic stability system with traction control.

2006 - 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara
Major changes included: The second generation Grand Vitara is offered in Base, Xsport, and Luxury trims. Automatic climate control, full power accessories and side and side curtain airbags come standard. It is powered by a 2.7 liter V6. | |
