OVERVIEW

The Toyota Camry has long held the illustrious title of the best-selling passenger car in the U.S., riding on its reputation for smooth powertrains, a comfortable ride, high resale value and consistent build quality. Trim levels for 2011 include the base, LE, sportier SE and top-of-the-line XLE. All trims are available with a fuel-efficient 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder making 169 hp, while all trims save the base model can also be ordered with the optional 3.5-liter 268-hp V6. All 4-cylinder models save the XLE can be ordered with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions, while the XLE only comes with the automatic. All V6 trims use the 6-speed automatic.

Safety is an important buyer consideration in the midsize segment. The Toyota features anti-lock brakes with brake assist, stability and traction control systems, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and a driver knee airbag. The Camry is due to be replaced with an all-new model for 2012.
