Toyota Prius HB V

At the top of the 2010 Toyota Prius line, the Toyota Prius HB V combines sportiness, luxury and technology. Prius V is the only trim level with foglamps, and LED headlights that are auto leveling, switch off automatically and include their own headlamp washers. Prius V is likewise the only 2010 Prius to include larger 17” wheels and tires.

This most expensive Prius trim model, however, does not include the much touted solar sunroof as an available option. Instead, you get an option for what Toyota calls the Advanced Technology Package. This package includes the Navigation Package of voice-activated touch-screen DVD navigation with JBL® AM/FM/MP3 4-disc CD changer, eight speakers, USB port with iPod connectivity, integrated satellite radio, XM NavTraffic®, and hands-free phone capability; plus music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology; and integrated backup camera.

Additionally, the Advanced Technology Package groups an array of features previously found only on Lexus. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) matches your speed to the car in front of you. Pre-Collision System (PCS) automatically retracts the seatbelts and applies the brakes if a crash is unavoidable. Lane Keep Assist (LKA) is a warning system for inattentive or sleepy drivers. And, Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA) is the automated self-parallel parking system. Amazing!

Prius model V for 2010 includes more exterior locking/unlocking via keyless function (the front passenger door and rear hatch, as well as the driver’s door), leather upholstery, heated front seats, driver lumbar adjustment and an auto-dimming rear view mirror. Model IV also includes Safety Connect as an option, Toyota’s version of GM’s On-Star system.

Get every package option on the 2010 Toyota Prius V and your MSRP is slightly north of $31,000. But consider that the redesigned 3rd generation Toyota Prius is all the rage with its combined 50 mile per gallon, and you’ve got the exterior sport look with the high technology headlamps. For an MSRP of $27,270, you’ve got state-of-the-art everyday motoring.
