Toyota Venza AWD
The 2009 Toyota Venza AWD is an option for those who want to pay a little more for all wheel drive functionality for the FWD option that is the default base model for the 2009 Venza. The AWD and FWD vehicles are otherwise similar.
Either Venza option can be outfitted with two different engine sizes: a 2.7L DOHC 4-cylinder, or a 3.5L DOHC V6. Choosing the AWD Venza will slightly lower miles per gallon, according to Toyota's site. With the 2.7L option, the AWD Venza will get 20/28 MPG. With the V6, the AWD Venza will get an estimated 18/25. The 2009 Venza AWD includes Toyota's Star Safety System(TM), with Traction Control, ABS (Anti-Lock Brakes), EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), and a lot of other safety features. There's also a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and an anti-theft system with engine immobilizing capability.
Dual zone CFC-free air conditioning is standard for comfort in the Venza's interior. Buyers also get an AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with satellite radio capability, MP3/WMA playback capability and six speakers. Upgrade options for this Venza include a DVD display unit, as well as optional Bluetooth ability and a touch screen DVD navigation, as well as a backing camera and advanced remote options. Basic remote keyless entry is standard.
Leather-trimmed seats and steering wheel mounted controls are more of the optional gear on the Venza. Since Toyota tries to present the most popular feature packages, it's worth asking your local dealership about which of these options come in the packages that may be on display near you.
