The Dodge Caravan was first introduced in 1983 for the 1984 model year, as a minivan that became an increasingly popular family car. The second generation models were sold in different trims, namely the base model, SE, LE and ES with different engine options such as the 100hp 2.5-Liter 4-cylinder engine, 142hp 3.0-Liter V6 engine and the 162hp 3.3-Liter V6 engine. The third generation Dodge Caravans were marketed and sold between 1996 and 2000.
