The used Mercedes-Benz CLK350 comes from the CLK Class, introduced in 1998 and continued until the 2009 model year. The CLK class was offered in coupe and soft-top convertible/cabriolet models. Since its 2003 redesign, the CLK350, featuring a 268 horsepower V6 engine, has been the most popular offering in the United States. Seven-speed automatic and six-speed manual transmissions are available.

In the United States, equipment is very uniform between CLK350s, with all models being four-seat coupes with premium natural leather. Major options include parking assistance, Xenon HID headlamps, keyless drive, COMAND navigation, and a power decklid.

The CLK-Class is based on a lengthened C-Class platform, but pricing and equipment throughout the CLK's product cycle was more closely aligned with the larger E-Class.

Mercedes-Benz CLK350s are very reliable vehicles, but you should search for a certified pre-owned model or make sure that the CLK you are considering has been inspected by a private mechanic. As with any premium vehicle, regular maintenance is the most important step to enjoying your vehicle for a long time, so be sure to complete any necessary maintenance soon after the purchase of the vehicle.

The original CLK-Class, introduced for the 1998 model year, was just a few inches smaller than the current generation. These CLKs feature five-speed automatic transmissions with a manual shift mode. Although the manual shift mode allows for driver input, the transmission sometimes feels out of sync with the driver's intentions.

When considering a CLK350, be sure to drive and sit in the vehicle to ensure it is large enough to meet your needs. While the CLK offers an excellent, sporty but luxurious ride, the vehicle may be too small for families or those who frequently haul large amounts of cargo.
