PT Cruiser seats five, but its front passenger seat folds and the rear seat stows or removes for extra cargo room. Base, Touring, and Limited models are offered, all with a 150-hp 4-cyl engine and manual or optional automatic transmission. Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes with traction control are optional. Front side airbags are standard on Limited, optional on others. Midyear additions are a woodie look via optional woodgrain body appliques, and 7500 editions of the Dream Cruiser Series 1 with exclusive Inca Gold paint complimented by matching alloy wheels and cabin trim. A CD player and underseat storage bin are now standard on Base models, the Limited gains adjustable driver lumbar support, and flame decals for the hood and front fenders are newly optional.
