Ask any convertible owner to describe the car's best and worst features, and both answers will likely be the same: "It's a convertible." While hard to beat on a warm summer day, convertible with soft-tops can be miserable in inclement weather.
Volvo solved that dilemma when designing the second-generation C70. In lieu of the first C70's soft-top, it devised an ingenious retractable hardtop that takes only 30 seconds to raise or lower. With the top up, the C70 provides the hushed quiet and weather protection of a coupe, and—remarkably—looks just as good as when the top is stowed in its trunk.
