The front-wheel drive S80 is available with a 240-hp 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine or a 230-hp 3.2-liter PZEV engine. The T6 is available with all-wheel drive and a 300-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six. Both engines are matched with a six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. Safety features include ABS, traction control, stability control, and six airbags. Adaptive cruise control, collision warning system with pre-braking, and blind-spot information system are optional, as well as active bi-xenon headlamps that follow the road around curves. Also included in the safety roster is the Personal Car Communicator, and an electronic key fob.
Major changes included: The second generation S80 is Volvo?s first model to feature Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning and Brake Support. It offers more luxury than the previous generation, with standard leather upholstery, wood trim, power-adjustable seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. It is available in 3.2, T6, and V8 trim levels.
