Volvo XC70 Generations
For each major redesign, a vehicle is said to begin a new "generation."
Derived from the V70 wagon the XC70 features higher ground clearance, SUV styling, and all-wheel drive. A 235-hp 3.2-liter inline-six or a 281-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine are available. Both are paired with a Geartronic six-speed automatic transmission, allowing driver selectable shifting. With seating for 5 and a flat folding back seat the XC70 offers great versatility and maximum cargo capacity. Safety features include electronic stability control, side-impact and side curtain airbags, and all-disc anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth and Hill Descent Control.

2008 - 2010 Volvo XC70
Major changes included: The third generation XC70 is available in a single trim level. Options include eather upholstery, keyless ignition/entry, a navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment system. The XC70 is powered by a 3.2 liter inline-6 cylinder engine, and it is based on the V70 wagon platform. | |
