Overview

The F-450 is available as a 4x2 or a 4x4 Crew Cab configuration and offers three distinctive trims. The rugged and reliable XL, the well equipped XLT and the luxurious Lariat. The standard 6.4 liter V8 Powerstroke diesel engine supplies up to 650 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine can be mated to a standard six-speed manual or an optional Torqshift five-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped the F-450 can tow 20,500 lbs. with a 5th-wheel trailer and can carry a payload of 6,100 lbs. The F-450 offers unique amenities such as a supplemental cab heater, a reverse camera system, upfitter switches, a navigation system, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, satellite radio, a rear folding tailgate step and a trailer brake controller. For 2009, the Ford F-450 is a carryover but has added more standard features to each trim.
