2009 Honda Pilot

The 8-passenger Pilot is available in both front- and four-wheel drive configurations and four trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. All trim levels feature an advanced 250-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. The Pilot delivers impressive fuel economy through Honda's Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology, an engine cylinder-deactivation system that is capable of operating in either 6-cylinder mode for power or 4- and 3-cylinder modes for efficiency. Available standard equipment (dependent upon trim level) includes 17-inch alloy wheels, power moonroof, lift-up glass hatch, leather seat trim, tri-zone climate control and satellite radio. The new Touring trim is outfitted with premium features that include a power liftgate, upgraded audio, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and a voice-activated navigation system. A rear DVD entertainment system is optional on EX-L and Touring trims. Safety features found on all Pilots include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control, front- and side-impact airbags, side-curtain airbags for all three rows and new active anti-whiplash front head restraints. The Honda Pilot is redesigned for 2009, with exterior and interior styling changes, new standard equipment and technologies, and the addition of an uplevel Touring trim.
