The Outback is available with a 170-hp naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a six-speed manual transmission (or optional six-speed CVT), or a new for this year, 3.6-liter six-cylinder with a five-speed automatic transmission. The CVT and automatic transmissions feature a manual mode with paddle levers on the steering wheel. Limited models feature leather seating, a six-disc 440-watt nine-speaker harman/kardon audio system, dual-zone automatic climate control and Bluetooth hands-free phone capability. The Subaru Outback has been completely redesigned inside and out for 2010. New standard features include steering wheel audio controls, electric parking brake with a hill hold function, double-wishbone rear suspension, brake assist, overhead console and auto-on headlights.
