Power comes from either a 200-hp 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, or a 280-hp 3.6-liter narrow-angle V6 (VR6). Both engines are available with front-wheel drive, while the VR6 can also be equipped with all-wheel drive. The CC carries four people in ergonomic sport-type seats, leather seating surfaces are standard on all but the leatherette equipped Sport trim level. Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes, panic brake assist, six airbags, front row seatbelt pretensioners and a tire pressure monitoring system. Features such as a panoramic sunroof, Dynaudio stereo system, navigation system, back-up camera and satellite radio are also standard on some trim levels, optional on others. For 2010, Volkswagen's DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) replaces last years automatic transmission, as well, Bluetooth and a new touch-screen audio system become standard equipment.
