What's New for 2014
The Accent rolls into 2014 with very few changes. The base GLS sedan gains larger wheels and a blind spot mirror. The GS gets new projector beam headlights complete with LED accents. The sporty ES has a new optional technology package that includes push button start and a backup camera.
Choosing Your Hyundai Accent
Standard across the line is front-wheel drive and a 138-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual transmission. A six-speed automatic transmission is optional on all Accents.
The 2014 Accent is available in two body styles—a four-door sedan or stylish five-door hatchback—and three trim levels:

GLS
The sole trim level for Accent sedans comes nicely equipped with standard air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, a satellite radio, 14-inch alloy wheels, iPod/USB and MP3 auxiliary input jacks, and power mirrors, locks and windows. The $1,400 Premium Package includes items like Bluetooth, 16-inch allow wheels, rear disc brakes and an auto-up feature for the driver's window.
GS
Opting for a hatchback will add a few hundred dollars to the Accent's MSRP. The five-door GS has the same standard features as a four-door GLS, and adds a wiper for the rear window.
SE
The top-of-the-line SE adds around $1,300 to the base price of a GS, and is available only as a hatchback. Standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned steering and a leather wrapped steering wheel. If you want a sunroof, the $900 option is available only at this level. The Accent is an affordable competitor in the subcompact marketplace that can deliver up to 37 mpg. If your budget allows, check out the sporty SE hatchback—it combines sportiness and practicality in an affordable, fuel-efficient package.
