The QX has a new name, but a familiar five-seat form: It was known as the FX in a decade of previous model years. In its new packaging there are three models that boast an impressive list of standard features in a model that look and behaves like it has some muscle.

What's New for 2014

Aside from its new name, the QX70 carries over from 2013 essentially unchanged.

Choosing Your INFINITI QX70

There are three variations of the QX70, each determined by engine size and drive type. All use a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The QX70 is available in three models.

The base QX70 features a 325-horsepower version of Nissan's outstanding 3.7-liter V6, rear-wheel drive and 18-inch wheels. Standard features include leather upholstery, heated front seats, a Bose premium audio system, satellite radio and steering wheel-mounted remote audio controls.

3.7 AWD

For those who need the added traction, the 3.7 AWD adds all-wheel drive to the list of standard features.

Buyers of the 3.7 and 3.7 AWD can choose three packages:

  • Premium: The Premium Package includes a dual-occupant memory system, an entry-exit assist system for driver's seat and steering wheel, aluminum roof rails, navigation, an 8-inch color touchscreen display, and moving object sensors.
  • Deluxe Touring: Adds 20-inch wheels, aluminum pedals, wood interior accents, quilted leather upholstery, and climate controlled front seats. This package requires the Premium Package.
  • Technology Package: A high-tech suite of features include lane departure warning and lane departure prevention, intelligent cruise control, distance control assist, brake assist with forward collision warning, front pre-crash seatbelts, rain-sensing windshield wipers and adaptive lighting with auto-leveling headlights.

5.0 AWD

It's a large jump in price to the 5.0 AWD, but it adds a 390-horsepower 5-liter V8, quilted leather seats and 21-inch wheels to the mix. Other standard features include climate-controlled front seats, an Around View 360-degree monitor, navigation and maple interior trim.

There's only one option group for the 5.0 AWD:
  • Sport Technology: Includes many of the Technology package's safety features, sport front seats, paddle shifters, special trim, an adaptive front lighting system with auto-leveling HID headlights, and rear active steering.
