When Lexus introduced the five-passenger RX 15 years ago, it set the standard for midsize luxury SUVs. Beneath its futuristic lines is a platform shared with the Toyota Camry—meaning the RX 350 also comes with a reputation for reliability and longevity.

What's New for 2014

New for the year is Siri Eyes Free mode using Apple technology. And the F Sport now uses an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Choosing Your Lexus RX 350

A 270-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 powers all RX 350s. Buyers choose between a base model—available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive—and the F Sport, which comes only in all-wheel drive:

The Base model comes well-equipped with the features most buyers would expect. A six-speed automatic transmission, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlights, a power liftgate, 18-inch wheels and satellite radio are a few examples.

For the true luxury experience, however, buyers may upgrade with a series of packages with key features like:

  • Premium: Perforated leather upholstery and a moonroof
  • Comfort: Heated and ventilated front seats, HID headlights and rain-sensing wipers
  • Display Audio: A larger display screen, a rearview camera, enhanced Bluetooth functionality, a 12-speaker sound system
  • Navigation: Adds navigation with voice command to Display Audio content

F Sport

This performance-oriented model includes all features from the Premium and Comfort packages, and adds a sport-tuned suspension, all-wheel drive, 19-inch wheels and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

CarsDirect Tip

We'd pass on the F Sport—instead choosing a front-wheel drive Base model with Premium, Comfort and Navigation packages. Even loaded up like this, the RX 350 is an excellent value.
