Choosing Your Mazda CX-9

A 273-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission powers all CX-9 models. Front-wheel drive is standard on all trim levels; all-wheel drive is available as an option. Fuel economy for front-wheel drive models is 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway; these numbers drop to 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Buyers choose from three well-equipped trim levels:

Mazda CX-9 — Touring
Opt for the Touring, and you'll get leather upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat with power lumbar support, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, automatic headlights, blind spot monitoring, rear backup sensors and a rearview camera.
The optional Touring Technology Package features a Bose 10-speaker surround sound system, navigation, a power lift gate, push-button start, satellite radio, a moonroof and fog lights. **Opt for all-wheel drive.**

Grand Touring models are available with three packages:

The Grand Touring Technology Package adds on a Bose 10-speaker surround sound system, in-dash navigation system, a moonroof and satellite radio.
A Rear Seat Entertainment System Package includes a DVD player with a 9-inch screen, an 11-speaker Bose surround sound system, navigation with real-time traffic, and a 115-volt outlet.
The Towing Prep Package offers a tow rating of 3,500 pounds. It comes with a heavy-duty transmission cooler and radiator fan, and a revised engine control module. All-wheel drive models receive the Towing Prep Package as standard equipment.
