Every S7 is endowed with a turbocharged 4-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and a seven-speed automated manual transmission. You also get a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension and a performance differential that can transfer power between the rear wheels. As expected in an Audi, all-wheel drive and a selectable driving mode system are standard.
The S7's interior is done up in diamond-stitched leather and high-end features like four-zone climate control, a web-based navigation and information system, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system with HD radio. You can upgrade to a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen surround sound system in place of the Bose unit.
For safety, there's a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and a blind-spot warning system -- all standard. The Driver Assistance package tacks on lane-keeping assist, a surround-view camera system, collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control with automatic braking and accelerating. Infrared night vision with pedestrian detection is a standalone option.
The Comfort Seating package adds multicontour seats throughout with ventilation and massage in front. You can also get heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel in the Cold Weather package. Power soft-close doors and rear thorax airbags are available separately. Note that the S7 carries bucket seats in the rear, so it's strictly a four-seater.
The Black Optic package spruces up the exterior with body-color mirrors, a gloss black single-fame grille and gloss black window surrounds. LED headlamps are available as standalone option.
Since the S7 looks almost identical to the A7 on the outside, the Black Optic package is an easy way to add some distinction.
