Choosing Your Cadillac SRX

The SRX comes only with a 3.6-liter V6 with 304 horsepower and a six-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.

The base Standard model comes only with front-wheel drive, but includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Cadillac's CUE infotainment system with voice recognition, OnStar with a 4G LTE hotspot and the Directions and Connections package, satellite radio, HD radio and USB input, Bluetooth and a dual-zone automatic climate control. The Sports Edition package adds a different grille and some trim and 20-inch alloy wheels.

Luxury models get what most buyers expect at this level: full leather upholstery, wood trim with ambient interior lighting, keyless access and remote start, front and rear parking sensors with backup camera, blind spot monitor, cross path detection, a panoramic roof, power liftgate and bright 18-inch alloy wheels. All-wheel drive is available for an additional $2,500. Also available is the Sports Edition Package, the Driver Awareness Package with intelligent headlights, lane departure warning and forward collision warning, and the Driver Assistance Package with automatic braking and adaptive cruise control. Navigation with a 10-speaker Bose audio system is optional, as is a dual screen rear entertainment system.

Performance Collection

Performance trim adds the navigation system and Bose audio, with variable-effort power steering, front fog lights, xenon headlights and 20-inch alloy wheels. All-wheel drive, chrome alloy wheels, the Sports Edition Package, Driver Assistance pack, Driver Awareness pack and the rear-seat entertainment system are also optional.

Premium Collection

Finally, Premium trim adds almost every feature with intelligent headlights, heated rear seats, tri-zone climate control, lane departure warning, forward collision alert and the smart safety seat are standard. All-wheel drive, chrome alloy wheels, the Sports Edition Package, Driver Awareness pack and the rear-seat entertainment system are also optional.

CarsDirect Tip

Luxury trim vehicles are already in the mid-$40,000 range, so it's best to stick with that version to keep the price away from some roomier and newer rivals. But even then, the SRX holds its own for buyers looking for luxury and technology in a crossover.
