2015 Chrysler Town & Country OVERVIEW

Only a handful of minivans have survived the onslaught of SUVs and crossovers, the plush Chrysler Town & Country among them. Its longevity is due no doubt to an abundance of interior space and useful features, not to mention its attractive pricing.

What's New for 2015

Buyers have two new models to choose from: the entry-level LX and line-topping Platinum Limited

Choosing Your Chrysler Town & Country

Every Town & Country carries a 3.6-liter V6 with 283 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission. There's room for seven passengers -- ingeniously designed Stow 'n Go seats in second and third rows fold completely into the floor to provide a flat cargo area.

The Town & Country is now available in six trim levels:

Comes with a leather interior, power sliding doors, a power liftgate, a rearview camera and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Formerly the base model, the Touring adds automatic headlights and wipers, heated mirrors, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power driver seat and power controls for all side windows.

Adds sporty touches such as black wheels, a dark grille treatment, a firmer suspension and black leather seats with cloth inserts. You also get a rear DVD/Blu-ray entertainment system with two flip-down screens.

Equipped like the Touring, but with extra tech and convenience features: rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, auto-dimming side mirrors, remote start, a power passenger seat and rear sunshades.

Builds on the Touring-L with an upgraded leather interior with driver memory and heated first- and second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless ignition and a navigation system. The S's premium audio system and DVD/Blue-ray setup are also standard.

Limited Platinum

Ups the ante with a sunroof, memory functions for the side mirrors and passengers seat, a power-folding third row and bright-finish aluminum wheels.

Some of the safety and convenience features found on the upper trims are optional on lesser models. More specialized upgrades, like the S's performance features and the Limited Platinum's premium trimmings, are exclusive to their respective trim levels.

CarsDirect Tip

Because no one associates sportiness with minivans, the S doesn't get the attention it deserves. Keep in mind that, in addition to the upgraded suspension, you get premium audio and video entertainment systems—all at a price that's a tad below the average Grand Caravan configuration.
