2015 INFINITI Q50 Overview

The Q50 is one of many fine midsize luxury sedans on the market, but one of just a few with sporty performance as its top priority. With quick reflexes and robust acceleration, the Q50 is essentially a restrained sport sedan with the interior of plush cruiser.

What's New For 2015

Redesigned just last year, the INFINITI Q50 enters 2015 unchanged.

Choosing Your INFINITI Q50

The Q50 is offered with just one well-rounded engine: a 3.7-liter V6 that delivers 328 horsepower to the rear wheels, good enough to take this luxury sedan from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. A seven-speed automatic transmission does the shifting, and all-wheel drive is available across the board. It's worth noting that the Q50 achieves 29 mpg on the highway, a fine figure for a V6 sedan of its quickness.

The Q50 is available in three trim levels:

Comes with all the expected luxury car equipment like power front seats, keyless ignition, a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and audio, and a six-speaker sound system with satellite and HD radio. You also get a dual in-dash touchscreens, aluminum interior trim, LED exterior lighting and INFINITI's InTouch infotainment control interface. The seats are covered in premium leather-like vinyl. All-wheel drive versions also carry a heated steering wheel. The sole available option is a sunroof.

Spruces up the interior with a standard sunroof, heated front seats, an auto-dimming mirror and a 14-speaker Bose surround-sound system. Leather seating and a Navigation package (with satellite radio) can be added separately. Models equipped with navigation are eligible for upgraded tires on 19-inch wheels (rear-drive only), and the Deluxe Touring package, which adds wood interior trim, adaptive steering, parking sensors, surround-view cameras, and memory settings for the both the driver and front passenger. With that bundle in place, you can also get the Technology package with active collision alert and avoidance systems, plus adaptive cruise control and an "eco" gas pedal that provides feedback to encourage fuel-efficient driving.

The performance variant of the Q50 adds upgraded breaks, a sport-tuned suspension, leather sports seats, exterior styling tweaks, standard 19-inch wheels and summer performance tires (all-season with all-wheel drive). The Navigation, Deluxe Touring and Technology packages continue as options.

CarsDirect Tip

The Q50 starts out very competitively priced -- more like a compact luxury sedan than a midsize one. But to get the proper luxury car experience, we recommend upgrading to the Premium, where a sunroof is standard and leather and navigation are available.
