As far as luxury hybrid crossovers go, the INFINITI QX60 stands out as one of the few available. But with seating for seven and a comfortable interior, it may appeal to families who want to apologize to the planet for driving a large vehicle that accommodates so many people.
What's New For 2015
Introduced as a new model for 2014, the QX60 Hybrid continues essentially unchanged for 2015.
Choosing your INFINITI QX60 Hybrid
The QX60 Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter supercharged four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor for a combined 250 horsepower, mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is an option. There is essentially one trim level, with major option packages for available features.
The QX60 Hybrid comes standard with leather upholstery, seating for seven, keyless entry and start, selectable driving modes, a backup camera, three-zone automatic climate control, a moonroof, Bluetooth hands-free and USB input.
The Hybrid Premium Package includes 13-speaker Bose audio, memory settings for the driver's seat, mirror and the steering wheel, while the Driver Assistance Package includes safety technology like adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning and lane departure warning. The Deluxe Technology Package adds forward collision warning, brake assist and a second moonroof.
Go light on the option packages, because they quickly escalate the price of the INFINITI. The safety tech on a vehicle of this size, however, is a wise box to select.
