The Mazda6 made a strong entrance last year establishing itself as a real viable option within the midsize sedan market. It offers dramatic styling, precise handling and excellent braking. Featuring Skyactiv technology, the Mazda6 continues to deliver surprising power and impressive fuel economy for a car of its size and abilities.
What's New for 2015
The Mazda6 was completely redesigned in 2014 so changes this year are minor. One-touch up/down windows with backlit switches have been added to the base model.

Choosing Your Mazda6
All trim levels of the Mazda6 continue to come equipped with a Skyactiv 2.5-liter 184-horsepower engine. Fuel economy can vary depending on transmission and optional equipment.
Sport
A base Sport comes with a six-speed manual transmission standard, which gets 25 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. An optional six-speed automatic transmission is also available which gets 26 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. Other standard features include 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, automatic headlights, push-button start, power windows, air conditioning, a rearview camera, Bluetooth capability, 60/40-split fold-down rear seats, a six-speaker audio system and cruise control.
Touring
Like the Sport, a Touring offers the choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmissions. Additional amenities include 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and blind spot monitoring with a cross-traffic alert system.
The optional Touring Moonroof Package adds a moonroof and a Bose sound system with satellite radio and 11 speakers. A Touring Technology Package, meanwhile, features navigation, collision avoidance, automatic headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers and heated side mirrors.
Grand Touring
The Grand Touring includes a host of luxury features like 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic HID headlights, adaptive front-lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a moonroof, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a Bose sound system with eleven speakers, heated side mirrors and collision avoidance.
The Grand Touring Technology Package is the only upgrade at this level and includes: Forward obstruction warning, i-ELOOP regenerative engine braking, lane departure warning system, high beam control and a sport mode button. With this package, EPA estimates for the Mazda6 rise to 28 mpg city and 40 mpg highway.
Of all the trim levels a mid-range Touring still represents the best value to us -- a lot of extras for an excellent price.
