2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG

The CLA45 AMG receives minor interior upgrades only.

The AMG gets its power from a heavily modified version of the 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder used in other CLA-Class models. The result of all that tuning is 355 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, incredible output for an engine of this size. To handle all that oomph, the AMG gets a specially calibrated seven-speed automatic transmission, launch control and all-wheel drive. It's endowed with larger brakes than the standard CLA-Class and a markedly firmer suspension. Expect to rocket from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

In terms of creature comforts, the CLA45 AMG starts out with a leatherette interior with power front seats and driver memory, automatic wipers, Bluetooth phone and audio, a touchscreen infotainment interface and an eight-speaker sound system. You also a get collision mitigation system with automatic braking and a driver alertness monitor.

The available Premium package enhances the interior with dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, auto-dimming mirrors, keyless access and ignition, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system with satellite radio. Premium-equipped models can get an Interior package with leather seating (complemented by expanded leatherette trim) and ambient interior lighting.

The Multimedia package gets you a rearview camera, navigation, a six-CD changer, digital music storage and a larger infotainment screen. Safety is the theme of the Driver Assistance package, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and blind spot monitoring.

Numerous standalone options are offered, including leather upholstery, sport seats, a panoramic sunroof, carbon fiber interior trim, an AMG steering wheel, 19-inch wheels (18s are standard), and red-painted brake calipers.
