Toyota is delivering on its 2013 promise of a 10% improvement on fuel efficiency from each previous model year. The 2016 Prius v has a combined EPA rating of 55 miles per gallon.
The model suffered delays due to redesigns in an effort to give it a sportier look and drive. The new Prius v is less bubble and more edge with an elongated front grille and a sharper roof line. The new chassis has a lower center of gravity and, along with a new suspension system, improves handling to offer a more responsive, sporty drive.
The 2016 added a couple of inches to the body for increased interior space, but what’s most noticeable about the interior is the use of better quality materials.
