With the introduction of the ATS in 2013, Cadillac finally proved it could build an outstanding small, luxury car. Three years later the first high-performance ATS-V was released, coupe and sedan models designed to battle the finest German models on and off the track.

What's New for 2017

One year removed from its grand debut, the 2017 ATS-V offers a few updates. An available carbon black sport package brings in a black chrome grille and rear fascia appliqué, after midnight dark finish wheels, along with a more assertive front splitter, hood vent trim, rear diffuser, composite rocker extension panels and an elevated, body-colored rear spoiler. Cadillac CUE updates include teen driver minders and improved app access.

Choosing Your ATS-V

Do you want a coupe or a sedan? Both body styles are available with the 2017 ATS-V, same as last year. The coupe seats four, the sedan holds five. This model has a top speed of 189 mph and can zoom from 0-to-60 mph in just 3.8 seconds.

All models are powered by a 3.6-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine making 464 horsepower and 445 foot-pounds of torque. You have your choice of transmissions, including a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, active rev-matching and no-lift shifting features. If you prefer an automatic, an eight-speed with a torque converter and paddle shifters is available.

Both the coupe and the sedan are mono-spec models and are rear-wheel drive only. There are also seven packages available for further customization, including appearance upgrades, safety enhancements, and track performance. Fully loaded models may top $75,000.

The 2017 ATS-V takes premium gasoline. Models equipped with the manual transmission are EPA-rated at 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. For those with the automatic, the EPA rates these models at 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The 2017 Cadillac ATS-V costs from $63,890 for the coupe and $61,690 for the sedan. Both body styles are outfitted with halogen composite headlamps, daytime running lights, performance grille, premium painted forged alloy wheels, summer tires, power-heated side mirrors, and a rear spoiler.
