What's New
The 2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid lives at least another year. This is expected to be its final year of production as the automaker transitions away cars to focus more on utility vehicles. There are no significant changes and it retains its stylish design, though its not as efficient as its rivals.
Choosing Your Ford Fusion Hybrid
The Ford Fusion Hybrid is available in three trims: SE, SEL, and Titanium. Prices start at $28,995 including destination for the Hybrid SE and climb to $35,590 for the Hybrid Titanium.
Engine Choices
The Ford Fusion Hybrid is equipped with an efficiency-focused 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine and an 88-kW electric motor that sends power to the front wheels by a continuously variable transmission. A 1.4-kWh lithium-ion battery pack supplies the motor with electricity.
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The Fusion Hybrid has room for five, and the rear-seat passengers have 38.2 inches of leg room. The trunk isn’t especially large at 12 cubic feet, though a 60/40-split-folding rear seat allows cargo to expand into the cabin.
Safety Features
The Ford Fusion Hybrid includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, and automatic high beams as standard equipment. Inflatable rear outboard seat belts are included on the Titanium trim.
Connectivity
Ford’s Sync3 infotainment system is controlled through an 8-inch touchscreen and features navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and wi-fi hotspot capability. The SEL brings an 11-speaker audio system, while the Titanium trim includes a 12-speaker Sony audio system and HD radio.
SE - $28,995
The Hybrid SE is equipped with notable features like 17-inch alloy wheels, two 4.2-inch LCD driver displays, a 10-way power driver seat, a four-way power passenger seat, push button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control. A power moonroof is available for $1,095.
SEL - $32,625
The Hybrid SEL trim adds bright exterior trim and door handle inserts, LED headlights, heated mirrors with puddle lamps and auto-dimming on the driver’s side, and proximity entry. Inside, heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and memory positioning are notable upgrades.
Titanium - $35,590
The Hybrid Titanium trim builds on the SEL trim and gets some un-hybrid-like upgrades like leather upholstery, an expensive-looking chrome mesh grille, a rear spoiler, 18-inch wheels, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, and a sunroof.
