The S8 will largely be a carryover for the 2018 model year. Although a complete redesign was expected to make its debut, it appears that it won't be arriving until sometime next year.
Like last year's model, the S8 will continue to be powered by a 4.0-liter turbocharged 8-cylinder engine making 605 hp with 517 lb-ft of torque. That represents a notable step up from the standard 4.0T A8, which comes in at 450 hp with 444 lb-ft. Both cars feature an 8-speed automatic transmission.
For 2018, the S8 gains an Executive Plus Package with a full range of driver assistance technology like lane-change assist, a pre-collision system, adaptive cruise control and more. It also features rear heated seats, shift paddles and a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel.

Shoppers looking for a sportier appearance can opt for the new Black Optic Plus Exterior Package, which features a black theme including: carbon exterior mirror housings, carbon fiber lip spoiler, high-gloss exterior window surround and grille, as well as darkened taillights and a sport exhaust.
Expect a full review closer to launch.
