2018 Audi TTS Overview
What's New For 2018
The TTS gains standard parking sensors and new upholstery choices. Audi added $450 to the price tag, increasing the TTS' starting price from $53,475 (including a $975 destination charge) to $53,945.
Choosing Your Audi TTS
Although the TTS could easily pass for a two-seater, there's an actual rear seat for small children and parcels. The trunk measures a very usable 12 cubic feet, more than most coupes of this size. The body features aerodynamic trim elements, full LED lighting, and quad exhaust outlets.
TTS comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine good for 292 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. That puts it smack in the middle of the base TT and raucous TT RS in terms of performance. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters distributes power to all four wheels, like any other high-performance Audi model. An adaptive sport suspension and 19-inch wheels with summer performance tires complete the mechanical setup.
The TTS starts at $53,945 with features like leather and Alcantara suede upholstery, heated power front seats, automatic wipers, keyless ignition, power-folding side mirrors, and Audi's MMI infotainment system with satellite radio and nine audio speakers.
Full Nappa leather sport seat with "S" embossing are available for $1,000. The newly available Audi Exclusive Package ($6,200) adds diamond stitching to the seats, leather interior trim, and a two-tone color scheme (black and a choice of yellow, red, or gray).
The $3,500 Technology Package adds navigation, blind spot monitoring, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system (previously a standalone option).
The $1,500 Black Optic Package adds intrigue to the interior with 20-inch titanium-finish wheels and gloss black trim.
Among the very few individual factory options for the TTS are red brake calipers ($400) and 20-inch wheels ($1,000).
The TTS' standard Alcantara chairs look more expensive than the optional seats, breathe better, and come standard – unless you're addicted to all-leather seats, pocket the $1,000 Audi wants for the premium upholstery and direct it towards the $3,500 Technology Package. It adds the excellent Audi Virtual Cockpit along with blind-spot monitoring and navigation.
