2018 Jeep Scrambler: Model Preview & Release Date

, Senior Pricing Analyst - October 26, 2017

Model Preview

The Jeep Scrambler is said to be a Wrangler-based pickup truck expected to debut sometime in 2018. Although the model hasn't been officially revealed yet, it will reportedly take a page from the long wheel-base vehicle of the same name sold back in the 1980s.

Unfortunately, no reliable specs have been released at this time. For reference, the next-generation Wrangler is expected to get a revamped version of the current 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 mated to an 8-spd automatic transmission. A 4-cylinder diesel is also said to be in the pipeline, although it could debut after the gas version.

Planning documents from Fiat Chrysler reveal that the Scrambler will be built at the automaker's Toledo South assembly plant in Ohio. The location will apparently begin retooling to build the vehicle shortly after the All-New Wrangler goes on sale in early 2018.

We'll be updating this page as new information becomes available.
