What's New
Don’t blink your eyes, because the Cadillac CT6-V is likely to disappear and as soon as early next year. This beefy performance sedan rolled out last year, and the 2020 Cadillac CT6-V returns for what's likely its final year with a few tweaks. Gone is the previously available Rear Seat Package, while the once optional Driver Assist Package and its adaptive cruise control is now standard.
Choosing Your Cadillac CT6-V
The Cadillac CT6-V is only available one trim, known as CT6-V. It starts at $97,190, which includes destination and a gas guzzler tax.
Engine Choices
Exclusive to Cadillac is the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It delivers 550 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The CT6-V is only offered with all-wheel drive, and goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The Cadillac CT6-V is a big sedan and seats five adults comfortably. Rear leg room is near the top of its class. This model has ample head, shoulder, and hip room front and back as well.
Trunk space measures 15.8 cubic feet, which is about average. On the other hand, the Cadillac XTS delivers 18 cubic feet of cargo space.
Safety Features
You won’t find Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, but you’ll find a full roster of standard driver assist safety features.
The CT6-V is equipped with adaptive cruise control, front and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane change alert, and rear cross-traffic alert. Cadillac also includes a surround-view camera system, an autonomous park assist feature, and night vision technology.
Connectivity
The Cadillac CT6-V has an impressive list of connectivity features. It features a 10.2-inch touchscreen display complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, wi-fi hot spot capability, and navigation. Four USB ports (two in front, two in back), wireless charging, and a head-up display are also standard.
Cadillac pulled out all the stops with this sedan’s audio system. A 34-speaker Bose Panaray system is a brand exclusive, delivering incomparable sound throughout the cabin.

A month-long strike shut down production of all North American General Motors plants, including Cadillac. Therefore, you’ll need to work closely with your dealer to acquire a 2020 Cadillac CT6-V. In any case, Cadillac says the CT6-V has “extremely limited availability,” so don’t delay.
