Nearing the end:
The 2019 Volt continues arriving at dealers, but deliveries have slowed to a trickle, and it's now hard to find in many areas. The 2019 Volt features a more powerful 7.2 kW charger that cuts charging time in half. It's standard on the Premiere and a $750 option on the LT. The models are priced $550 and $300 higher, respectively.
Pricing tends to favor California and other zero-emissions states. Buyers can still qualify for a federal tax credit up to $7,500. California residents are eligible for a state rebate up to $3,500, depending on income.
Volt production recently ended as part of GM's restructuring and move away from passenger cars.
Unless otherwise noted, factory offers are available nationally and will expire September 30, 2019.
Bigger cash off:
Chevy now offers a $4,000 rebate on the 2019 Volt to all buyers, an increase of $1,000 over last month.
In addition, most dealers are offering in-house discounts around $2,500 — even more in some cases. It's a good time to go shopping for a new Volt.
Improvement on leases:
The 2019 Volt LT now starts at $299 for 39 months (10,000 miles a year) with $3,019 due at signing. The effective monthly cost works out to $376, an excellent value for this price class.
Current lessees of non-GM brands are eligible for a conquest bonus that lowers the effective monthly cost to $364 — even better.
Cash with financing:
In place of the standard rebate, Chevy now offers 0.9% financing for 60 months on the 2019 Volt, or 1.9% for 72 months. The deal comes with $2,000 bonus cash, a very nice perk.
