Genesis’ Midsize Sedan:
The Genesis G80 is one of three sedans offered by Hyundai’s luxury marque. The 2020 G80 is a carryover model; we're expecting an all-new version for 2021.
When shopping the Genesis G80, you might compare this midsize luxury sedan with offers for the BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Lexus GS, Audi A6, and similar sedans. One advantage Genesis has is that it provides three years of free maintenance for the first three years.
The current offers are set to expire on August 31, 2020. We may see an update before then.
Bonus cash and other funds:
Last month, Genesis canceled its previous cash offers in favor of a special lease offer on the base G80 model. This month, Genesis canceled its loyalty/conquest cash bonus on the 2020 G80s.
Genesis offers a $1,000 military bonus for active duty, reservist, National Guard, veteran and retired U.S. military personnel. Further, if you are a recent college graduate or plan to graduate within the next six months, there is a $400 bonus for you. Check with your dealer about eligibility. If eligible, you will apply these funds to your down payment.
Consider these competitive financing offers:
Promotional financing deals are available as usual this month. Finance your 2020 G80 through Genesis Finance and pay 2.75-percent APR for 60 months. Choose a 72-month loan and the rate is 3.5 percent.
Both rates are down slightly this month, but they don't match the offers available with the G70, including zero-percent financing.
A strong lease deal:
Lease a 2020 G80 3.8L V6 RWD and pay $549 per month for 36 months with $0 due at signing. Genesis also makes your first monthly payment. Your effective monthly cost is $549. We think this is a very good offer.
Genesis provides an allowance of 10,000 miles per year on all G80 leases. At lease end, you’ll pay a $400 disposition fee.
