What's New
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica receives updated styling, available all-wheel drive, a full suite of safety equipment as standard, updated infotainment, and a new ultra-premium trim level.
Choosing Your Chrysler Pacifica
There are four trim levels offered. The Touring is priced from $36,540, the Touring L is $39,640, the Limited is $49,885, and the new Pinnacle trim is $54,885.
Engine Choices
The Pacifica is fitted with a 3.6-liter V6 that generates 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels while an all-wheel-drive system is optional on the Touring and Touring L trims ($2,995) and standard on the Limited and Pinnacle trims.
In terms of fuel economy, the FWD models achieve an EPA-estimated 19 miles per gallon city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 combined while the AWD model (and its 0.8-inch greater ride height) sees reduced figures of 17, 25, and 20 mpg, respectively. When equipped with the $995 Trailer-Tow Group, the Pacifica gains additional hardware to pull up to 3,600 pounds which is on par for the class.
Passenger and Cargo Capacity
The Pacifica is equipped for seven passengers on most trim levels, however, the Touring and Touring L trims with FWD can be equipped with a middle second-row seat for $595 to increase the capacity to eight.
As is typical of a minivan, cargo room and passenger space are copious. At 204.3 inches long, the Pacifica squeezes in between the Odyssey and Sienna although it sits about an inch wider than both at 79.6 inches.
The third-row passengers are the only ones that might feel pinched with 36.5 inches of legroom which is about an inch and half to two inches shy of what the Honda and Toyota offer. The Pacifica can hold 32.3 cubic feet of stuff behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and 140.5 cubic feet with both rows folded which is almost as much as a Chevrolet Suburban which is nearly two feet longer.
Safety Features
The 2021 Pacifica is equipped with more standard driver-assist safety features than before with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, reverse automatic braking, blind-spot detection with cross-traffic alert, full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing wipers being among the most prominent. The Touring L trim further offers a 360-degree camera and a parking assist system that can handle parallel and perpendicular maneuvers through the optional Premium & Safety Sphere Group.
IIHS hasn’t fully tested the updated Pacifica, however, the previous year of the model earned Good crashworthiness scores and is considered a 2019 Top Safety Pick. NHTSA has awarded the minivan a 5-star overall safety rating.
Connectivity
The Pacifica has been upgraded with the brand’s Android-based Uconnect 5 infotainment system with better graphics, more customization options, and faster operating speeds.
Controlled through a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, the system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, built-in Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM with 360L, Bluetooth dual-phone connectivity, and auxiliary and USB audio inputs. Wi-Fi, a 115-volt power outlet, a Blue-Ray DVD player, HDMI inputs, and second-row video screens are available on the Touring L trim.
The Limited trim additionally includes HD radio and a TomTom-based navigation system.
Pacifica Touring - From $36,540
The Touring trim is well equipped now that the low-cost minivan angle is fulfilled by the Chrysler Voyager (which does not receive the Pacifica’s updates). The 2021 Pacifica wears a reshaped grille and new front and rear fascia that are met with updated full LED headlights, full-width LED taillights within high gloss plastic surrounds, LED fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, power sliding doors with built-in sunshades, body-colored heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, a roof rack with integrated cross rails, and a capless fuel-filler.
Proximity entry sensors are placed on all doors to enable entry to an interior with cloth seats with eight-way power-adjustability for the driver, a seven-inch driver’s information display, and three-zone climate control. Chrysler’s stow ‘n go second-row seating - where the seats collapse into the floor - is standard, even on AWD models.
The Touring offers the $895 S Appearance Package which includes dark polished 18-inch wheels, black window surround trim, a gloss black grille, and gloss black rear bumper trim. Inside, premium cloth seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and piano black interior trim are included.

Pacifica Limited - From $49,885
The Limited trim wears a bright exterior with polished 18-inch wheels as well as chrome body-trim and door mirrors, which now include puddle lights and power-fold and auto-dim functionality. Its interior is upgraded with premium leather seating surfaces and steering wheel, ventilated front seats, a power-folding third row, and several of the features of the Uconnect Theater Family ground such as the vacuum, heated second row, hands-free power doors, and a powered passenger seat.

Pacifica Pinnacle - From $54,885
The Pinnacle trim enables the Pacifica to push further upmarket than in previous years. It wears unique 20-inch wheels and platinum chrome exterior trim but the interior is where the most notable changes are found.
The Pinnacle trim beyond simply including the optional features of the Limited trim with unique interior colors, quilted seat-side bolsters with matching lumbar pillows for the second-row captain’s chairs, a suede headliner, deeper carpeting, and an enhanced center console with an integrated wireless charging pad and padded sides with contrast stitching.
