Model Preview

The popular Ford F-150 will be getting its first-ever electric version for the 2022 model year. Ford claims that the F-150 Electric will be the most powerful F-150 yet.

Details are slim about what the F-150 Electric will offer. However, Ford has announced that it will come with dual electric motors that bring increased horsepower, torque, and acceleration, as well as a front trunk (commonly known as a "frunk") and over-the-air updates.

An exact release date hasn’t been announced but Ford expects it to be on the market in the middle of 2022. Pricing will likely be higher than the gasoline version which currently ranges from $30,635 to $74,945 (including destination fees).

The F-150 Electric will compete with the Tesla Cybertruck, GMC Hummer EV, and Rivian RT1.
