The 2023 Audi A4 and S4 models will enter the new model year with minor changes but will remain close to the current vehicles on sale. Revamped A4 and S4 models are expected to arrive before 2025, as Audi has announced that its final new model with a combustion engine will come out then.
On the outside, the 2023 Audi A4 and S4 will retain the same overall design as the sedans on sale today. The A4 40 and A4 45 now come with standard LED headlights with DRL signature lighting with a more striking design. The available Black Optic package on the A4 45 now adds more black exterior elements, like black exhaust tips and rear spoiler. The 2023 S4 also receives a new optional Black Optic Plus package that brings black rocker sill blades, a rear spoiler, exhaust tips, and Audi badges. New 19-inch wheels and summer tires are standard.
Audi isn’t expected to make any changes to the A4 or S4 interiors for the 2023 model year. The sedans will continue to have a simple, upscale design with clear controls and minimal lines. A new Audi Sport interior package is available for the 2023 S4 model. It brings a black interior with red stitching and RS carbon inlays. Beyond these changes, the 2023 A4 and S4 will have the same interior designs as the current models on sale.
When it comes to tech features, Audi isn’t expected to make any changes to the A4 or S4’s list of features. The sedans are expected to come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 10 audio speakers, two USB ports, and Bluetooth as standard. Available features should include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, navigation, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, a wireless charging pad, and satellite radio.
The 2023 Audi A4 and S4 should have the same powertrains as the current models that are on sale. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque will be standard. A more powerful version of the engine will be available and be rated at 261 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. The S4 will come with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 making 349 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The A4 comes with a seven-speed automatic transmission, while the S4 features an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard.
