For the 2023 model year, Audi is giving much of its lineup some updated available and standard features to showcase the brand’s growth in technology and quality for the luxury segment. Included in that is the A6, which has improved from the 2022 model year with general upgrades and by being given new dynamic technology.
In appearance, changes to the interior and exterior seem to largely depend on which combination of model, trim level, and package is chosen. For the S6, the Premium Plus trim now has heated rear seats, the LED interior lighting plus package, and the leather package which includes a leather dash, console, and armrests. Also for the S6, the Executive package adds power open and close trunk and the LED interior lighting plus package while the all-new Audi Sport stitching package gives the black interior Express red contrast stitching on the door armrests, center armrest, center console, shifter, seats, and seatbelts. Lastly, the Prestige trim on the A6 Allroad and RS 6 Avant now have a black Dinamica headliner.
For the five models in the A6 lineup, there are four separate powertrain options. The A6 45 starts it off with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine with an S tronic transmission. Next is the A6 S line 55 and A6 Allroad with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine with S tronic transmission. The S6 comes with a 2.9-liter 6-cylinder engine and Tiptronic transmission that's reported to produce 444 horsepower. Last is the RS 6 Avant with a 4.0-liter, 8-cylinder engine with a Tiptronic transmission.
What safety gear comes standard or available depends on the trim level. The Premium trim with the Convenience package on the A6 45 and A6 S line 55 now gets adaptive cruise assist with lane guidance as standard. The Executive package also now includes adaptive cruise assist with lane guidance, while the Premium Plus trim receives a full suite of driver assistance tech. The Prestige trim on all models of the A6 now contains remote park assist plus, which can be activated through the MyAudi app and uses the sensors on the car to pinpoint exit and entry points in parking situations.
