Model Preview

The Chevrolet Trailblazer enters the 2023 model year as a carryover without many changes, save a new roof color option. The subcompact SUV continues to come in four trim levels: LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS, and each trim is available with front- and all-wheel drive. As a carryover model, we expect that the 2023 Trailblazer will retain most of the current model’s design.

The 2023 Trailblazer keeps the two engine options for 2023. Standard is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine mated with a continuously variable automatic transmission. It makes 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque and is only available with front-wheel drive. A 1.3-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine is also available. It produces 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque when paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The latter powertrain is available with both front- and all-wheel drive.

The 2023 Trailblazer continues with a 7-inch color touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and two USB ports as standard infotainment tech. A six-speaker audio system also comes standard. All-wheel-drive variants get active noise cancellation. An 8-inch touchscreen, HD Radio, wireless smartphone charging, and a seven-speaker Bose premium audio system are optional on the upper trims.

Standard safety features will include a rearview camera, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, IntelliBeam automatic high-beam control, and a configurable teen driver system. Lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional features depending on trim level.

Chevy hasn’t officially announced when the 2023 Trailblazer will go on sale, but it's rumored that production will start at the end of April. If that proves to be true, we anticipate a late summer arrival date.

Pricing will be announced closer to the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer’s arrival date. We anticipate the subcompact SUV staying close to the current model’s range of $22,995 to $28,595 including destination.

The 2023 Chevy Trailblazer will compete with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-30, and Honda CR-V.
