The Ford Mustang Mach-E is expected to see no major changes for the 2023 model year. For its third year on sale in the United States, the popular EV will likely continue to offer a variety of sporty configurations for electric vehicle shoppers. A recent development suggests an important detail worth knowing about.
Although 2023 Mach-E specs have not yet been announced, we think it's likely that the vehicle will continue to feature a range of up to 314 miles. However, the 2023 model year could present an opportunity for Mach-E shoppers given the fact that Ford stopped taking orders for the Mach-E Premium and California Route 1.
The California Route 1 has a range of up to 314 miles, and its absence creates a vacuum in the brand's lineup. Currently, the 2022 Mach-E Select has a range of up to 247 miles while the GT is listed with as much as 270 miles. As a result, there could be significant pent-up demand for a 2023 Mach-E Premium or Route 1.
2023 Mach-E pricing has not yet been revealed. For reference, the current Mach-E has an MSRP of $44,995 including destination, though there are a handful of financing deals available for consumers. While you can lease a Mach-E, it's important to know that Ford Credit keeps a $7,500 EV tax credit on leases.
Alternatively, the Mach-E is just one of two Ford models eligible for a lease-like financing option called Ford Options Plan. This form of balloon financing will remain exclusive to the brand's EVs and offers the ability to enjoy promotional rates and remain eligible for the tax credit, potentially making it a good deal.
