The Lexus NX went through a full redesign in 2022, ushering in a new look inside and out, a new powertrain, and an upgraded infotainment system. With these changes still fresh, we expect the 2023 Lexus NX to be a carryover model.
The 2022 Lexus NX redesign was subtle, but that was all it needed. The model already boasted a sharp look that looked great without being over the top. The 2022 model brought a new fascia with updated headlights and spindle grille.
Inside is where the bulk of the 2022 NX updates were made. Lexus eliminated the clunky and button-heavy center console and replaced it with a larger touchscreen and far fewer buttons. This gave the 2022 NX a more spacious feeling and a more modern appearance.
We expect the 2023 Lexus NX to carry the same interior and exterior designs.
The current Lexus NX comes in a few flavors, starting with the NX 250 with its 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Next is the NX 350h, which pairs the 2.5-liter engine with an electric motor for 239 total horsepower. Then you have the NX 350, which adds a 275-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. Finally, the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid that pairs a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor for 302 hp and a 36-mile EV range.
We expect the 2023 Lexus NX to arrive with the same powertrain options.
There are no crash test scores for the current Lexus NX, but it comes standard with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, steering assist, adaptive cruise control, active lane control, road sign recognition, and automatic high beams. We expect these features to remain the same in the 2023 Lexus NX.
