2024 Cadillac Escalade Preview Preview, Pricing, Release Date

2024 Cadillac Escalade

Model Preview

The 2024 Cadillac Escalade is headed for a refresh. After a full redesign in 2021, this is the first cosmetic update that the large luxury SUV will see. The fifth-generation SUV is due for a mid-cycle refresh when the 2024 Cadillac Escalade launches later this year.

On the exterior, we expect to see some refreshed touches around the front of the Escalade, with a redesigned grille, front fascia, and new headlights, but so far we haven't seen the new model without wraps. No matter what the large Escalade is clad in, however, there is no mistaking the SUV for anything else.

The interior is also reported to be undergoing a refresh which should bring the latest tech and luxury materials to make the cabin feel more upscale, not that the current Escalade fails at that. We're expecting a larger screen integrated into the dash and a large digital instrument cluster as well. Spyshots from GM Authority seem to show a rearranged center stack with the shift knob moved for driver convenience, and a new position for the screens sitting on the dash.

We're expecting a refresh in the design both inside and out, but the base Escalade should remain without changes, including to the engine. Under the hood, the current Escalade sports a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. You can also choose a more powerful supercharged V8 that produces 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque, or the fuel-efficient 3-liter turbodiesel with 277 hp and 640 lb-ft of torque. This is by far the more fuel-efficient engine of the pack, bringing fuel economy up to 21/27/23 in rear-wheel-drive guise. We don't expect these choices to change for the upcoming 2024 Escalade.

Pricing & Release Date

We haven't heard officially when the new 2024 Escalade will be arriving on dealer lots, but according to GM Authority, the large SUV should debut in November. We expect the MSRP of the model to start slightly north of current Escalade prices, which start at $81,190.

The Escalade will compete with other large premium SUVs such as the Lincoln Navigator, GMC Yukon Denali, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
