Cadillac is giving the 2024 XT4 a refresh for the upcoming model year. The refresh consists of an updated exterior design and a new infotainment system. While the changes seem light, they should make the XT4 a standout choice in the subcompact segment.

The 2024 Cadillac XT4 will arrive with an updated exterior design for the new model year. The subcompact SUV gets a new front-end design with updated lighting, a fresh grille design, and a revised air intake on the bottom of the front fascia. The distinctive vertical running lights now match some of Cadillac’s other models, while the headlights are comprised of three square lights that are positioned in the middle of the front fascia. Cadillac has also introduced new 18-and 20-inch wheel designs for the SUV. The rear end of the XT4 gets a few updates, though they’re not as dramatic as the SUV’s front end. New taillights have been added and the rear bumper has more angular elements.

On the inside, Cadillac has fitted the 2024 XT4 with the same enormous infotainment screen as the Lyriq. To accommodate the new infotainment system, Cadillac’s designers had to redesign the XT4’s dashboard. The dash now has a tiered design and a horizontal look with the large screens sitting in a single trim piece on top of the dash. The physical controls for the HVAC system and car are now located at the bottom of the center console and are split by a trim piece.

The biggest change to the current XT4 for 2024 is the introduction of a new 33-inch curved LED touchscreen that spans half of the dashboard. The screen is running Cadillac’s latest infotainment interface that’s based on Google’s Android Automotive software. Standard features with the XT4 include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in, Amazon Alexa compatibility, four USB ports, and voice recognition. Available features will include a wireless charging pad, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 13-speaker AKG audio system.

Cadillac hasn’t made any changes to the 2024 XT4’s powertrain. The subcompact SUV will continue to come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.

The XT4 will come with the Cadillac Smart System suite of advanced safety features as standard. The suite includes pedestrian and bicyclist detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam assist, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning. Available safety features will include adaptive cruise control, intersection automatic emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view camera, rear pedestrian alert, enhanced lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and speed limit assist.
