2024 Chevrolet Colorado Preview Preview, Pricing, Release Date

2024 Chevrolet Colorado

Model Preview

Chevrolet introduced a fully-redesigned Colorado for the 2023 model year. With the midsize pickup truck coming off of a recent full redesign, we expect the upcoming 2024 Colorado to be a carryover model.

The exterior design of the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado shouldn’t change for the upcoming model year. The current pickup features a rugged design with prominent body lines, rugged body cladding, and a tall ride height. The truck’s front-end design features a distinctive look with a prominent front grille split by the Chevy badge, while square headlights and a sturdy front bumper are also at the front. The boxy rear end of the Colorado features built-in steps in the bumper and an available storage compartment in the tailgate.

The interior design of the current Colorado should go unchanged for 2024. The truck’s dashboard features an upscale look with simple lines, circular air vents, and a large central touchscreen that’s integrated into the digital instrument cluster. The truck has a slim row of controls for the HVAC system right under the screen, while controls for the truck are located at the bottom of the center console.

Chevrolet Colorado

Every Chevrolet Colorado comes with an 11.3-inch touchscreen and an eight-inch digital instrument cluster. The pickup truck also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, six audio speakers, satellite radio, and front USB ports. We don’t expect to see any changes to the Colorado’s list of standard tech features for 2024.

Chevrolet offers the current Colorado with a single turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine. The motor is available with two different levels of horsepower: 237 and 310. The engine produces three different levels of torque: 259 lb-ft, 390 lb-ft, and 430 lb-ft. All trucks come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the Colorado can tow up to 7,700 pounds, which leads the midsize segment. Chevrolet will continue to offer the Colorado with the same engine.

The 2024 Colorado should continue to come with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and cyclist detection. Available features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Pricing & Release Date

The current Chevrolet Colorado went into production before the end of 2022. We expect production of the 2024 Chevrolet Colorado to begin before the end of 2023. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but without any major changes, the truck should continue to range from $33,995 to $48,295 with destination.

The Chevrolet Colorado competes against midsize trucks like the Honda Ridgeline, Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Frontier, and Jeep Gladiator.
