2024 Dodge Hornet Preview Preview, Pricing, Release Date

Model Preview
After being introduced as an all-new vehicle for the 2023 model year, the Dodge Hornet is expected to be a carryover model for 2024. While we don't expect to see any major changes, here's what the 2024 Dodge Hornet will bring to the table.
The exterior design of the Hornet will remain the same for the 2024 model year. The subcompact SUV will continue to feature the same design as the current model that's on sale. The current Hornet features a muscular design with a wide front air intake, tall fenders, a slim grille, and rectangular headlights. At the back, the Hornet has a rear spoiler, thin taillights that are connected, and a chiseled rear bumper.
On the inside, the 2024 Hornet should have the same design as the current SUV that's available. The Hornet features an upscale design thanks to its Alfa Romeo roots. The sweeping dashboard has square air vents, slim physical controls, and a screen that sits on top of the dash. The three-pronged steering wheel has a slew of physical controls. The Hornet's slightly larger than most subcompact SUVs, so the vehicle offers a generous amount of interior space.
We'll email you as soon as the 2024 Dodge Hornet becomes available.
When it comes to tech features, we don't expect to see any changes to the Hornet for the 2024 model year. The subcompact SUV should continue to come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The SUV features Dodge's Uconnect 5 infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa compatibility, six audio speakers, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and dual front USB ports. Available features include a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a wireless charging pad, and navigation.
Dodge currently offers the Hornet with two different engines. The base model comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The available plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and a 15.5-kWh battery pack. The PHEV comes with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Hornet PHEV is rated at 285 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. All Hornets come with all-wheel drive. We expect these engines to continue to be available for the 2024 model.
On the safety front, the current Hornet comes with a forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors as standard. Available features include lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view parking camera, a driver attention monitor, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and reverse automatic emergency braking. The 2024 Dodge Hornet should be available with the same safety features.
Pricing & Release Date
With the 2023 Dodge Hornet going on sale in the summer of 2022, we expect the 2024 model to arrive this summer. Pricing for the SUV hasn't been announced yet. Without any major changes, the 2024 Hornet should have a price range that's similar to the current model's MSRP. The Hornet ranges from $31,590 to $46,590 with the destination fee.
The Dodge Hornet will compete against options like the Honda HR-V, Volkswagen Taos, Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30, and Toyota Corolla Cross.
