2024 GMC Acadia Redesign Info, Price, Photos, Release Date

The 2024 GMC Acadia will receive a total redesign with an emphasis on interior room and technology. All models will carry a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's more powerful and efficient than the current V6. GM's SuperCruise hands-free highway driving system will be available on the Acadia for the first time.

The all-new Acadia is 10.6 inches longer and 3.2 inches wider than the outgoing model. The third row now seats three, so the Acadia can accommodate up to seven or eight passengers depending on the trim. According to GMC, the 2024 Acadia has 80 percent more cargo space behind the third row and 36 percent more behind the second row. Front legroom has increased as well.

All 2024 Acadia models will be powered by a new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. That's an increase of 100 hp over the current base engine and a tad more than even the optional V6. Maximum towing capacity has increased to 5,000 pounds. All-wheel drive will continue as standard on the off-road AT4 model and optional on the other trims.

Inside, the 2024 Acadia will feature a 15-inch center touchscreen and an 11-inch driver information display. The infotainment system will have built-in Google apps, including navigation. Drivers can view up to nine different camera angles on the center screen, including a front view.

The roster of standard driver assistance features has expanded to include adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic braking, blind-spot steering assist, and surround-view cameras. Acadia buyers will be able to add the SuperCruise semi-autonomous driving system, now incorporating trailering assist and automatic lane change capability.

The rugged AT4 will feature a wider track and 1-inch higher ride height than the other 2024 Acadia models. The AT4's off-road suspension will adopt hydraulic rebound control. At the top of the lineup, the upcoming Denali will be available with a larger panoramic sunroof, laser-etched wood interior trim, and 22-inch wheels. The Denali also gains a one-touch folding second row and a power-folding third row as standard.
