2024 GMC SIERRA EV Price, Specs, Photos, Release Date

Model Preview
GMC is expanding its lineup of electric vehicles with the all-new 2024 Sierra EV. It's an all-electric version of the Sierra 1500 pickup truck and will sit underneath the heavy-duty GMC Hummer EV Pickup as a large option. While GMC will offer the Sierra EV in a single Denali Edition 1 at the time of launch, AT4 and Elevation trims are set to arrive for the 2025 model year. At the moment, we only have information for the Denali Edition 1.
While the Sierra EV is expected to share a lot of components with the Silverado EV, they will differ largely based on their designs. The Sierra EV features a mainstream, but upscale look with C-shaped LED daytime running lights, headlights that are positioned in the middle of the front bumper, and a closed-off grille. The side of the electric truck is still very truck-like, but the pickup comes with 24-inch wheels and a charging port by the driver’s side rear taillight. GMC will offer the Sierra EV with a five-foot-11-inch bed that has GMC’s multifunction tailgate and a foldaway section on the back of the cab that’s called the MultiPro Midgate. Lowering the MultiPro Midtage opens an extra nine feet of cargo space for long items by placing a portion of them on top of the rear seats.
On the inside, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV has a high-tech look that’s not very truck-like. The dashboard has a simple horizontal theme with air vents and a trim piece that almost run the full width of the dashboard. A massive portrait-oriented touchscreen is the only item that breaks up the dashboard and has a few physical controls at the bottom of the screen. The Denali Edition 1 features high-end materials that include open-pore wood, aluminum trim, stainless steel touches, and quilted seats.
We'll email you as soon as the 2024 GMC SIERRA EV becomes available.
The 2024 Sierra EV comes with an impressive list of tech features. The Denali Edition 1 will come with a 16.8-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14-inch head-up display. The touchscreen can be reconfigured for ease of use, while GMC has retained a physical volume knob. We expect Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a premium audio system, a wireless charging pad, and multiple USB ports to be standard on the Denali Edition 1.
GMC hasn’t shared all of the Sierra EV’s specs yet, but we know the Denali Edition 1 comes with two electric motors for all-wheel drive and up to 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. Full power is unlocked by selecting Max Power mode which helps the truck get to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. We expect the Sierra EV to share the same 200-kWh battery pack as the Silverado EV, as the truck has an estimated range of up to 400 miles. The Sierra EV features an 800-volt architecture that results in blistering charging times of being able to add 100 miles in 10 minutes. The Denali Edition 1 will be able to tow up to 9,500 pounds and haul up to 1,300 pounds.
The Denali Edition 1 will come with General Motors’ Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system as standard equipment. It will support hands-free driving when towing and can be used on more than 400,000 miles of roads in the U.S. and Canada. We expect the electric truck to come with a suite of advanced safety features that includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Pricing & Release Date
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will start at $108,695 (with destination). GMC has not provided starting prices for the other upcoming models. The electric truck is set to go on sale in early 2024, but reservations for the vehicle are all accounted for.
When the GMC Sierra EV arrives, it will compete against the Chevrolet Silverado EV, Ford F-150 Lightning, and Rivian R1T.
Stay tuned for more information as it gets released.
