2024 Honda Pilot Preview Preview, Pricing, Release Date

Model Preview
After arriving as a fully redesigned vehicle for 2023, the Honda Pilot is expected to arrive as a carryover model for the 2024 model year. We don’t expect to see any major changes for the upcoming midsize SUV, which isn’t a bad thing as the redesign has made the SUV far more competitive in the segment.
The redesign for 2023 saw the Honda Pilot adopt a more upscale design, though the midsize SUV continues to have a conservative look. The 2024 Pilot should share the same overall design as the current Pilot that’s on sale. The front end of the SUV has a square grill, rectangular headlights that are connected by a trim piece, and angular elements on the bottom of the front fascia. The boxy design of the Pilot carries on to the back where the SUV has an upright rear end, round taillights, and a flat rear bumper.
The interior design of the current Pilot has a simple, straightforward design that should go unchanged for 2024. The Pilot has a simple dashboard with a central touchscreen that sits on top of the dash, square air vents, and large physical controls for the HVAC system. The family-friendly SUV offers seating for up to eight as standard, while a removable middle second-row seat in the Touring and Elite drops seating down to seven.
We'll email you as soon as the 2024 Honda Pilot becomes available.
When it comes to tech features, Honda offers the Pilot with a standard seven-inch touchscreen, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and seven audio speakers. Available features include a nine-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and 12 audio speakers. These features should continue to be offered on the 2024 Pilot.
Under the hood, the 2024 Honda Pilot is expected to come with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s found in the current model. The V6 is rated at 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.
The Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety features is standard on every Pilot. The suite includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist. Available features include blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. We expect these safety features to continue to be available on the 2024 Pilot.
Pricing & Release Date
With the 2023 Honda Pilot going on sale last December, we expect the 2024 December to arrive this winter. Without any major changes, pricing for the 2024 model year should remain close to the current SUV which ranges from $37,295 to $53,375 including destination.
The midsize Pilot competes against SUVs like the Kia Telluride, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Chevrolet Traverse, Nissan Pathfinder, Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent, and Toyota Highlander.
